Are female doctors better than male doctors?

A study by Harvard researchers found that female doctors are able to get better outcomes for patients compared to male counterparts.

The study also found that results were even better if the patients were more sick, or older. Female doctors not only increased the chances of patient survival once admitted to the hospital, but also reduced readmissions. Interesting findings, though, nobody can be sure how accurate the study is, and if it applies across situations. This study further heats up the discussion around wage equality, since female doctors are paid less than male doctors. What do you think? Watch the video as Dr Ashish Jha, Professor of Health Policy at Harvard, explains the results.
